During a supplier-supervised trial, check:

• Whether the lower edge remains clear of the floor and nearby equipment.

• Whether adjacent frames can pass without touching.

• Whether a worker can remove the selected frame without shifting several others.

• Whether the approved hanging points support the frame without visible distortion.

Follow the frame through the full permitted travel path. Clearance at the loading position does not prove clearance elsewhere.

Ask for both the overall machine dimensions and the space occupied by the largest hanging frame during movement. The second measurement matters when placing the rack beside a wall, doorway or assembly station.

Leave the Coated Faces Untouched

Butyl-coated spacer frames need careful handling. After a frame leaves the butyl sealant extruder, its coated side faces must remain protected. Confirm that the approved hook arrangement keeps those faces away from adjacent frames and contact surfaces.

Sealant suppliers specify surface preparation requirements. For example, the GD115 technical information requires bonding surfaces without moisture, dust or grease. A hanging rack does not remove contamination or repair a disturbed coating.

If a frame catches on another frame, stop movement and follow the equipment procedure. Pulling it free can spread the problem to neighboring pieces. Set suspect frames aside for inspection instead of returning them directly to assembly.

Include hooks and nearby support surfaces in the approved cleaning routine. Ask the supplier which cleaning methods are compatible with the equipment and materials; do not improvise a solvent treatment on coated frames.

Make the Collection Position Easy to Read

For mixed orders, a useful identification system can be simple: a rack-position number connected to the job sheet, with frame dimensions and processing status recorded against it.

Keep labels away from bonding faces. Mark frames awaiting inspection separately from frames cleared for use. If a glass unit needs two spacer frames, make the pairing clear in the job information rather than relying on their similar appearance.

This is a suggested workshop practice, not a claim that the rack includes barcode recognition or automatic tracking.

Set a limit on how much work waits here. If prepared frames keep accumulating, investigate the next operation before adding more hanging positions. Extra storage cannot make a stopped assembly station consume frames faster.

Check What the Drive Actually Does
